Not So Bad Thursday

Phew, the dramatics are over for now and I’m sliding toward the weekend. I did get most of the laundry off the floor, but only because I put my husband’s stuff on the guest room bed. I sorted and folded but didn’t unpack the suitcase from a month ago.  Not that I wasn’t willing, but he said he’d to it because he knows what’s there.  Okay, at least I don’t have to trip over it. I finished Tuesday with a beach walk and my mother-in-law’s surgery went well.  None of the animals have let me any unpleasant surprises for two whole days. The big news is that my dad broke his leg on Tuesday.  He jumped off his boat and didn’t bend his knees.  He broke his tibia which apparently is a pain in the ass to heal. He had surgery last night and won’t be able to put weight on it for at least four months. So I guess he really did have a Nuclear Tuesday.  His plans for the rest of the year have changed drastically.  Hang in there, Dad.  Look on the bright side.  You can catch up on some reading.  I read all the Harry Potter books when I broke my foot a few years ago.  It was BK.  Before Kindle.  Back then I had to hobble on crutches to select the books I wanted. Crutches suck.

Here is a really cool song that stopped me in my tracks this morning. I had VH1’s Jump Start on.  The video is pretty cool, too.  Never heard of Delta Rae before but I’ll be watching out for them from now on.  I think the song is all percussion and harmony.  Nice job, Delta Rae.
