Can I Change

I did not realize having a blog about balancing my life would mean I would actually have to do that. That being making real changes to my diet and lifestyle. I had great news at my doctor’s appointment yesterday, yet woke up with a dull headache, neck pain and an over all feeling of exhaustion despite sleeping better than I had all week. Though my tests were negative for celiac disease and autoimmune thyroid disease, I left the doctor’s office to go to the hospital to see my brother-in-law. Stu’s a quadriplegic. He had a motor cycle accident a year before I met my husband. That was about twenty years ago. Currently he has an irregular heart beat, and blood clots, plus other complications. My mother-in-law was also at the hospital. She had gone by Stu’s room before and after dialysis. She’s one of the toughest women I have ever seen.

And why I need to change is that I have chronic family stress with people who can’t change their situation. I can. I can change my diet and balance my life so I can be strong for the people I love while honoring my creativity. Isn’t that what we all want?

And that also means making time for my creative voice.
